What is this

Philippians 4 says not to worry about any thing but to pray for everything. How litteral should we take this verse. Every one knows that we should pray over big stuff like a job situation, or a sickness. but what about little stuff like how to dress, or the type people to hang around, or even the type food we should eat. the verse does say pray for every thing right? does that mean that I should have a prayer meeting every morning with my wife to see what color shirt I should put on, or what breakfast I should eat?
I think that we have studied a little to far into what the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us through Paul. I believe he only meant if you have a need make it known. Don't worry about it. Jesus said it this way in the Gospel: what good does it do to worry about tommorow? Does it add one thing to your life today?" NO! God want's a relationship with you today. He is big enough and strong enough to take care of our every need, (even those little needs that we think we can handle on our own.) Then and only then will we recieve the Peace of God that Passes ALL understanding. you know the kind of peace that Paul had when he knew he was going to die and he said "To Die was Gain" because he knew that to be absent with the body was to be present with the Lord. or the kind of peace you get after you finially let God take complete control of your life, and even when you don't know where the mony is coming from for the bills, you still have a "peace" knowing that God has never let any one down ever.
So... "Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."
