So I got to hang out at the ball park today। I witnessed a pretty impressive comeback, the "tigers" were down 13-3 to the "Astros". That may not be too much of a defecate in say... football, but in baseball it's almost the "nail in the coffin" so to speak. However, at this particular game, on this particular day something great happened. Yes ladies and gentlemen it happened... down by 10 runs with a runner on second and third the "tigers" ran a squeeze bunt, And Scored! this totally changed the momentum of the game, and after that the on slat was on, they scored 14 unanswered runs to win the game! Now about that momentum changing squeeze play... a number of things have to happen for a play such as this to be successful.....
1. it has to be the right situation.(coaches!) 2. The Batter has to know that he is bunting, and not swinging away.(the runner on 3rd will appreciate that), 3. And finally the runner on third must know to run(in this case 9-10 year old ball) as soon as the ball is bunted. Every one has to be on the same page, working toward the same goal......hmmmmm. this reminds me of a story in Scripture!

Acts 2:1
"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place."

they were down, Christ (no-longer with them) had given them a charge that was overwhelming at the least. The "Nail was almost in the coffin" I guess you could say, but they were (as they were ordered, by Christ), in one place, and "with one accord", Then out of no where THE MOMENTUM CHANGED! They were all filled with the Spirit, and the Church was birthed! Thousands were saved, and the world was completely turned upside down! Big things can happen when we can work together and do our job, trusting (this is the hard part) that every one else is going to do their job. So listen up! THE SQUEEZE PLAY IS ON. THE MOMENTUM IS ABOUT TO CHANGE! Don't put the nail in the coffin quite yet, things are just getting good. just don't swing when your supposed to bunt, and don't stay on third when your supposed to run home!

have a good week,

Brandon
